Images From God a Random Inquiry Part 2

I am about to embark into an area that no doubt may cause some to utter the word“blasphemy”.
My reason for doing so is NOT to blaspheme, but to process a beginning dialog that may help
us better understand some of the workings of Christ, in regards to his revelation to us in our present
time and Dispensation .
When you begin to deal with issues like UFOs one of the first problems you encounter when you
try and fit a biblical answer into modern terms regarding Godly angels is: why would a spirit being
need a physical craft to conduct the affairs of the kingdom of God?
The short answer to that is: I do not fully know, but for whatever reason God chose to use that
imagery when corresponding with the writers of the Old and and New Testaments.
The Pillar of Cloud and Pillar of Fire in the Old Testament and the Transfiguration bright cloud in the
New Testament will suffice as an example.
Ex 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way;
and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
Ex 13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire bynight,
from before the people.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice
out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Omniscience
Another Image that the word of God creates is a God who has Angels reporting to him regarding
what is taking place here on earth, suggesting he may NOT be aware of everything that is transpiring.
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you,
That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
The implication is Angels have a running audience with God the Father concerning the affairs of heaven and children.
Concerning Sodom and Gmorrah the Lord apparently thought it necessary to come down and see for himself
if the evil that was reported was true.
Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
Gen 18:21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come
unto me; and if not, I will know.
There was a time when the sons of God met in a heavenly meeting with God and He posed a question to Satan.
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD,
and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,
From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
This is imagery that indicates that God was seeking revelation........(Whence comest thou)?
Before the Flood of Noah's time the bible records God made another odd statement:
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart.
This text implies regret; an odd view when we hold to the understanding that God is ALL knowing
regarding the events of earth from the beginning to the end.
It would seem this should have been seen before having created Adam and Eve. Am I implying that
God did not know?.....no the scripture implies that. Is this an accurate and complete revelation
concerning the attributes of God? probably not, in light of other scripture but it is an image
left to us by the writers of biblical text.
Next did God know that Adam and Eve were going to fall when he created them?
Does the image from this text imply God is playing with our minds if he did know? (I do not believe he is)
Gen 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Gen 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee
that thou shouldest not eat?
If we go back even one more step in the query, did God Know that Satan and his angels where
going to rebel and fall? There is text that implies that this issue was not known at the beginning.
Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the
holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
So am I trying to undermine faith here or am I trying to get a better understanding of the theater that
God has sponsored from His Holy Word? To bring us a complete picture of the necessary issues that may
come before us in our dispensation, and time.
Jesus was ask once What is Truth? He said:
John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that
I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear
witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews,
and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
Am I implying that God is limited? No but our understanding is limited... even with the images
God has given us from his Omniscient truth.
We may soon need to know the answers to some of my questioning and by preparing to do so now we
can keep ourselves from being deceived by the clever challenges that Satan and his minions may skillfully administer
in the climatic end-game.
Jesus said:
Luke 18:8 Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
The time of the end will be a very challenging time... we are told from scripture if it were possible
that even the very elect can be deceived by the events that will take place before the second coming of Christ.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that,
if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
So my questions hopefully will cause us to reflect on the known attributes of God and determine from his point of reference
at least in our time and Dispensation why he has chosen to use the imagery he has revealed to us.
