The Millennium: Significance of the Thousand Year Symbol (Rev 20:1-10) Berean Bible Church

Berean Bible Church
Is this phrase: a) referring to a literal thousand years, b) an understatement for a period of time much longer than a thousand years, or c) hyperbole for a much shorter period of time?

  1. If this is so, then what else is improperly misunderstood. Where does Hyperbole end and Biblical Truth begin? why did God treat so strongly those who where considered False Prophets?… What point of reference does the common man have to define right and wrong correctly? When Christ returns will he find Faith on the earth? How can we be sure by faith that there are not many roads to heaven as some suggest, perhaps what is stated that “there is no other name under heaven given by which we can be saved” is only hyperbole…While I get the point made, I also feel very uneasy as to where this can go in the reinterpretation process.

  2. What is meant by the term “common man?” If that is the one described in 1 Corinthians 2:14, then he has no capacity to correctly define right or wrong. “Right,” or “Wrong” is determined by the Law of God. Therefore it can only be determined by those whom the Holy Spirit has granted understanding, and that can only happen when they are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (The New Birth) by which their minds are renewed from ignorance to correct understanding. God bless you brother, and keep filling the GAP!
