John Milor is an author of several books, and radio talk show guest for numerous programs, including the Art Bell show. His interest in understanding paranormal phenomenon began at the age of five after hearing his great grandmother’s tale of seeing a UFO hovering over the plains of Kentucky during broad daylight, shortly following the turn of the century. This story, as well as numerous otherworldly encounters of his own, fueled his quest of the unknown. His life literally became an episode of the X-Files on a number of occasions, when he reached the age of twenty one, and was visited by none other than Jesus Christ, in a vision. Much of the Old Testament speaks of entire races of giant humans populating the Earth both before and after the flood of Noah (Genesis 6:4). These giants are referred to with the terms Nephilim (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33; and many others), and Rephaim (Deuteronomy 2:11, Joshua 12:4, 2 Samuel 21:16; and many others). Simply performing a search for the word “Giant” or “Giants” with any bible software equipped with Strong’s Enhanced Lexicon will reveal the following definitions for these words:

Is this the skeleton of a giant?

According to scripture, these beings were the product of the offspring of powerful fallen angels known as “Watchers,” who descended to Earth and mated with human females. Aside from the canon of scripture, other apocryphal books, such as the books of Enoch, 2 Esdras, Genesis Aprocryphon, Jasher, and Jubalee, also speak of these beings of immense stature.1
Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in modern recorded history, was 8 ft 11 inches tall, and the tallest living man in the world as of the date of this article is Leonid Stadnyk, who stands 8 ft 5.5 inches tall.2,3 Both these men reached their heights due to a debilitating disease known as gigantism. The bones unearthed by archeologists and turned over to the Smithsonian Institute, however, were the bones of agile, healthy, robust people, with average heights over 7 ft tall to over 8 ft tall, and some even ranging between 9 ft and 13 ft tall.4,5,6,7,8 As for robust, neither Robert Wadlow nor Leonid Stadnyk would have ever dreamed of out-running buffalo, much less carry one (up to 2000 pounds), in one hand, as recounted by the Pawnee Indians in the autobiography of the famous Buffalo Bill.
The North American Indians believed that the first race of human beings were giants. In the autobiography of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Cody writes that while camping on the South Platte, a Pawnee Indian came into the camp with what the army surgeon pronounced to be a giant thigh bone of a human being. When Cody asked about where such a bone might have come from, the Indian replied that long ago a race of giants had lived in the area. This race of men had been three times larger than normal men and able to out-run a buffalo and even carry it in one hand. Cody wrote:
