Why Do Christians contend Over Angels?
by
Jim Cunningham
On the issue of Angels I have come to
wonder why we have so much contention on how they
function, those who have fallen and
those who still serve God in absolute obedience.
The issue on Angels I want to address
in this short question is this.
Why do so many who study the UFO
phenomena from a biblical perspective focus their argument
on only Satanic angels trying to
deceive us with manifestations of UFOs?
Some very godly men have staked their
position on this study and conclude that Godly angels just
can not be connected with UFOs, their
reasoning seems to be, because of the actions and message
of the existing manifestation we
observe today.
While I understand their concerns for
the need of clarity and distinction of message on this issue I do not understand
why they seem to be willing to throw
the baby out with the bath water to maintain this clarity and distinction.
Is it possible that there are none
among us who can represent Jesus Christ on this enigma without going
to such extremes?
In the word of God we have all the
resources we need to be able to pass judgment on such matters
just as in the case of the apostle Paul admonishing the
Corinthians regarding a young man who had wrongly taken his fathers
wife to be his own.
We have a point of reference that provides clarity.
If an angel of the Lord appears to us
using a UFO his message will be in accordance with the holiness of God, he will not do or say anything
to discredit the position in the Godhead or atoning message of Jesus Christ, he will not perform
sexual experiments on us.
He will not add a new gospel like the Mormon Latter Day Saints have
presented
He will not teach the falsehoods of Raelism or New Age Doctrines.
However
He may be assigned to protect us or bring us a message or council us with a directive from heaven that are in harmony
with other scriptures from the Apostles and Prophets.
He may be allowed to mete out punishment
for our sins, but even that will be in accordance with the
eternal holy word of God.
It really is that simple.
Our efforts should be more on exposing the
fraudulent message of the contact then arguing on the methodology of the manifestation.
Time will tell whether Godly angels use
UFO technology, but until then believers can with confidence past judgment on the message and
behavior of those who contact us based on the directives of biblical consensus.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
